Akella

Formed in 1993, Akell was a Russian developer and publisher. In 1997, Akella became the first Russian company to officially localize and publish a foreign game in Russia. It was POD by Ubisoft.
Postal 2 and it’s expansions were published in Russia by Akella. Vince Desi of Running with Scissors (Developers of Postal) visited Akella’s offices in 2003.

In 2012, Akella faced multiple lawsuits. Akella had to repay approx. 200 million rubles (roughly 2.6 million USD) in debt.

The company never officially announced a closure, but no video games have been published or developed by them since Postal III in 2011.
